READY SET GO currently has 11 dedicated mentors that assists in the support and supervision of learner drivers participating in the program... to RSG, they are GOLD!

Mentors also participate in the RSG Working Group that helps support the Part-time Coordinator of the program. Added to attending meetings, RSG mentors participate in professional development and training opportunities, usually conducted out of the Rokeby Neighbourhood Centre Inc. The types of training that mentors have received include induction, operational procedures, policy and procedures, driving skills, advanced driving skills, communication skills, cultural awareness, and team building.

There are a number of requirements in becoming a mentor,  some legislative, others... just plain necessary.

If you are compassionate, have patience, and communicate well and you are willing to undergo a police check and discuss your driving history you may make a suitable mentor.
